Quality Assurance

Our Inspectors have a broad experience in looking after document control, weld logging, consumable control, quality assurance packs, develop mechanical integrity programs to suit site specific needs, develop and manage the testing of mechanical integrity programs. GQI inspectors will collect data specific to the individual equipment, perform evaluations based on that data and furnish a detailed assessment of the condition providing recommendations for corrective action and/or maintenance activities.

Third Party Inspection

It is sometimes necessary to retain the services of an objective, independent, third-party expert to determine whether or not quality requirements relative to NDT examination methods/results are being met. This may involve a review of procedures, certifications, report documents, or radiographic images. GQI’s  personnel have extensive experience in procedure development and review, procedure qualification, Quality Program establishment, and NDT consulting.

Risk Based Inspection

 

(RBI) is an inspection methodology that serves as an alternative to more traditional condition-based inspections. RBI methodology revolves around the assessment of the probability of failure and the consequence of failure of each piece of equipment to be inspected. The equipment is then categorized by risk and inspection efforts are prioritized based upon this categorization so that equipment with a high probability of failure can be given a higher inspection priority than those with lower chances of failure.

RBI is can be used for the inspection of piping, pressure vessels, pressure relief devices, and pipelines among other equipment. Compared to traditional inspections, RBI is more cost effective and tends to result in increased standards of health and safety. As a process, it is incredibly useful for minimizing downtime, ensuring effective use of resources, and ensuring equipment longevity for facilities.
